The studio was established in 1987 , previously known as " Zamar Music " under the management of Mr J Kelber . At the time it was situated in Stellenbosch , whereafter it was relocated to Waveley Building , Observatory . Due to clientele , the studio relocated once more to Somerset West in 1993 . At that time it performed as 8 track analog studio that specialized in MIDI .

 

In 1996 , the studio was taken over by Mr B Koen who relocated it to Strandfontein Village .

 

In February 1999 , Musictyme Productions was established and the studio was incorporated as recording and production house of the Company . It was upgraded to a 16 track digital studio specializing in MIDI yet also caters for live recordings . The gear used in the studio was also upgraded and the general presentation of the studio was changed .

A Mackie 24 - 4 - 2 and a Studio Master 16 - 8 - 16 - 2 is used as mixers . A host of Samplers , Synthesizers and Sound Modules are used . There is an AKG C 3000 , 4 x Shure SM 58 , Rode NT2 and various other microphones are be utelized . There are also a host of outboard effects . Voyetra Sequencer Plus Gold , Cakewalk 6 and other sequencer programmes are also available .

The studio has a inhouse producer being Darryll Manuel and also has a sound engineer on call .
